NIFA Report on Capacity Programs

The National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) of the U. S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) released a new report on March 27th that measured the effectiveness of investments in America’s land-grant universities through food and agriculture research, extension, and education projects. The report, National Evaluation of Capacity Programs, was prepared by TEConomy Partners. Forest Priorities for the 2018 Farm Bill

The Forests in the Farm Bill Coalition appealed to the House Subcommittee on Conservation and Forestry to use the 2018 Farm Bill to address challenges faced by forest landowners. The coalition is a diverse group of interests that has worked together for more than 15 years to build consensus forest sector platforms for the last three Farm Bills.  Read the Coalition’s March 2017 letter to Congress here.
