Two Positions - University of Hawai'i at Manoa

 

  • The University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa is seeking an Assistant/Associate Professor of Wildfire Management (Position #0083067) in the College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resilience (CTAHR). This is a full-time, tenure-track position based in Honolulu with an 11-month appointment. Responsibilities include leading wildfire science and management extension efforts in Hawai‘i and the U.S.-affiliated Pacific Islands, developing educational materials, teaching courses, mentoring students, and conducting applied research. A Ph.D. in a relevant field is required, although ABD candidates will be considered if they complete their degree by the appointment date. For the Associate Professor rank, a minimum of four years of teaching experience at the assistant professor level is necessary. This full-time, permanent position is located in Kapa‘a, with a salary range of $129,732 to $233,508, depending on qualifications. The role involves leading research and extension programs, coordinating efforts with department chairs, developing statewide plans, and managing budgets and operations. Applicants should possess a Master’s degree or higher in agriculture, natural resource management, or human resources, along with professional administrative experience.
